I took my mother's hearing aid in today for repair. It was a simple repair, but they told me they would have to send it in and it would take 2-4 weeks and would cost almost $500. They said they really needed her to come in first, though, because she probably needed another hearing test. I told them they worked fine...it was just cracked. The man at the one off of State Line in Missouri was very rude and hateful when he found that I wasn't going to bring her in. I knew at that point it would probably take 4 weeks because he would probably sit on it for 2 weeks before sending it in because I wouldn't bring her in. I told him I would just take it elsewhere and he said no one else would work on it, I took it to another place close to where I live and they fixed it for $15....wow, a long way from $500! Guess what Miracle Ear...you are not the only game in town, but you truly are the biggest rip off company I've seen in a very long time. What's worse, is if you don't do what they want, they don't care to work with you on anything else. Will never, never, never go back to that one on 103rd Street in Kansas City MO. 128f42a

I was told if

I was't satisfied the money for my hearing aods would be returned no problem. I am inable to get my money back. I have been in many times and had them adjusted and they are still not right. I want my money back and it is like talking to a brick wall.

Unfortunately, you didn't read my comment at all. The first line said "I TOOK MY MOTHER'S HEARING IN". It was never a phone conversation...it was all face to face and my opinion hasn't changed. It was just going to be a rip off to try and get more from my mother.

Thank you for your comments regarding your mother's hearing aid repair quote that was provided to you over the phone.

We recognize the everyday challenges of repair prices when we have not been able to see the hearing aid. For the most accurate price quote on a repair of your mother's hearing aid, it is recommended that she visit the local Miracle-Ear office for a review of the hearing aid. This office visit would dictate whether a repair can be made in office or via the manufacturer, as suggested by the office during your phone call. In order for your mother to get the most out of her hearing aids, we recommend regular clean and check appointments and also suggest that hearing aid programming be done according to your mother's hearing loss, which can be dictated by a current audiogram.

We have heard your concerns. We take very seriously each letter, email, and blog comment we receive. We would like you to work directly with our Consumer Affairs department. Our designated associate for Missouri is Robert Hessian. He can be reached toll free at 1-888-445-6515.

Again, thank you for sharing your comments and concerns.
